Uchi means home in Japanese. At Uchi we strive to create a space where we can share our love of color, texture and design. We hope to inspire fun and creative ways to adorn your home and your life. Founded by Yo Akino, Uchi opened in Berkeley, CA in the Spring of 2018. When The Wooden Duck, a long time Bay Area furniture company closed, Uchi was offered the opportunity to work with the factory that produced their popular teak furniture lines.
We are continually expanding upon these collections, adding new designs, as well as offering limited custom pieces.
