Superior Components, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Charles Fredenburg who had recently retired from ITW Plastiglide as their Midwest Sales Representative with 25+ years of experience in the Furniture Components business.
Charles, wanting to stay active in the Furniture Components business started by supplying Furniture Replacement Parts to Schools, mainly tubular glides that go on desks and chairs from his back bedroom in Downers Grove, IL.
By 1986, he realized many OEM Manufactures were looking for fast delivery of Furniture Components so he started stocking the most popular items.
