Rudy started his business in a small quonset building in Waite Park, Minnesota, building residential cabinets with two employees.
The business quickly outgrew that facility and moved to a larger building in 1961.
Continued growth required moving in 1965 to the east side of neighboring St. Cloud, and again in 1970, when Rudy purchased land near Waite Park and built a new facility with room for expansion, where Felling continues its operations today.
Rudy turned the business over to his daughter, Sharon, in 1984.
