Our designers work, whenever possible, in close collaboration with highly skilled American craftspeople to build each piece. Our products are made in low production runs that allow us to employ methods and materials that would be unavailable in typical mass production. Many of our solid wood cribs are bench-made in small local shops in the United States.
Our premium cribs are each exclusively handcrafted and laser-etched with a unique limited edition number. We take pride in presenting new materials to the children's industry that raise the bar in design, quality, and functionality for parents and babies around the world. With each product, Nursery Works strives to explore new materials and processes, including non-toxic, recyclable acrylic, CNC-milled maple, 24K gold-plated aluminum, custom marble/granite and powder-coated stainless steel.

I have absolutely no background in design.
I have always been able to draw or sketch at a very young age.
I love to paint but never in any meaningful ways.
I love art and am always learning about art appreciation.
So I guess one can say my influence in design comes from continuous learning, buying and surrounding myself with great design objects, and thinking about how those designs can be applied to other types of products.
I am interested to find new materials besides using conventional wood to make beautiful stylish baby cribs.

I grew up with constant exposure to Million Dollar Baby Co. and always had an entrepreneurial drive.
After college, I joined the team here at MDB Co. and continued to expand my knowledge and passion for every aspect of the furniture industry while also occasionally pursuing other business ventures.
When it comes to furniture, I'm inspired by how a piece makes you feel more so than intricate details.
I like to imagine it in various spaces of homes.
Life is fun!
I love my job, leading this company.

I first went to college for Computer Science and Fine Art which I loved because one was always the antidote when I was overworked by the other.
After spending a few years in NYC working in technology, which involved a lot of analytical creativity, I really craved the more intuitive, aesthetic creativity that I had used as an artist.
This brought me out west to Art Center College of Design where I studied Product Design and after stints designing toys, consumer electronics, and home and kitchen goods, I landed at MDB.

I grew up in India and even though I graduated in the sciences, art was always my passion.
I trained as a graphic designer at one of India's most prestigious graphic design agencies, Ray+Keshavan Design.
I came to the US in 2000, and started a line of graphic baby products with my husband in 2004 after our son was born.
I am inspired by my kids, and marvel at how their spontaneity is infused into all the beautiful art they make.
I also love vintage and folk art.
I love thrift shops!
I used to have a vintage store on Etsy, so I figured out where all the good spots to find treasures are.
