Shelba D. Johnson operates out of two terminals in Thomasville and Archdale, NC. We operate over 180 trucks in our fleet for both pick-up and delivery. We also manage an additional 80 dedicated owner-operators for deliveries. The over 500 trailers in our equipment fleet are air-ride equipped for smooth and damage-free movement. Joe Wade is the owner and president of SDJ Trucking, Inc.

Shelba D. Johnson Trucking, Inc. began in the late 1970's servicing the office furniture industry.
Alexander "Red" Johnson started delivering full loads of furniture into the Northeastern US, including New York City for Myrtle Desk, Hayworth and other prominent High Point office furniture manufacturers.
Red Johnson would source the loads and make the deliveries while his wife, Shelba Johnson, would provide the 'back office' support of billing, cash collection and payments to vendors.
The company continued to grow slowly until in 1985, they decided to incorporate with Red Johnson as vice president and Shelba Johnson as president, with both sharing duties.
