The Furniture Mission could not function without the support of our large volunteer base. We need help with everything from folding sheets to delivering sofas. Whether you or your organization can only come once, or you can commit to coming every weekend, both ourselves and the families that we serve would be extremely grateful for your help. A comfortable home provides dignity, security and a better environment in which to raise a family.
With your help, we can continue to collect and distribute gently used furniture to our community free of charge.
Each person who receives furniture is referred by a social service agency, school, church, or hospital.
Prequalifying assures that we are serving those truly in need.

Nearly one in six households in the Sioux Falls area makes less than $20,000 a year, and many of these families are living without even the most basic of furnishings.
The Furniture Mission was able to serve 1600 of these households in 2014 and with your help, can continue to serve the community for years to come.
When you donate to the Furniture Mission, you can be confident that your tax-deductible donation will be truly be changing the life of someone else for the better.

All recipients of our furniture have been referred to us by other Agencies or Organizations such as the Department of Social Services, Minnehaha County Human Services, Center of Hope, The Community Outreach, Lutheran Social Services, Children's Inn, Churches, Schools, and Hospitals.
