If my estimated cost to repair exceeded the value of a piece, then it didn't make sense repairing that piece. The insurance company would "cash out" that item in favor of the customer. It's difficult, if not impossible to place a value on some items. The chest your grandfather made. The rocking chair that had been handed down through the generations in your family.
Pieces with sentimental value are cherished and close to your heart and should be maintained for future generations.

Touch-up and Detail is a part of furniture repair that concentrates on the small areas that need attention with the intended outcome being that your eye is no longer drawn to that specific area any longer and therefore no longer driving you nuts.
A lot of repairs can be made on-site, but we may have to take the damaged piece back to our shop in San Marcos to give it the attention it deserves.
