For as long as I can remember I've had a passion for woodworking. I still have memories of nailing washers onto an old board to create a helicopter when I was about 6 years old. That passion has served me well over the decades. In the mid 90's I started Dutchman Woodworking, a small 2-3 man company trimming houses outside of Detroit. After a few years my skills had moved us into higher end homes and the need for custom woodworking grew.

It didn't take long building custom cabinetry on-site when I decided to open my own woodworking shop. We quickly made a name for ourselves building bars, entertainment centers and one-off furnishings. TruCraft is a small woodworking shop outside of Chicago Illinois. We specialize in unique handmade artisan furniture. From Mid-century modern and Danish, to Early American and Transitional, we are skilled artisans with a passion for well designed furnishings.

We feel so strongly in the quality of our furnishings that we provide a 50 year warranty against defects in workmanship.
