Established in 2005, The Madison Stock Exchange started as a consignment boutique, cultivating productive relationships with customers and consignors, to resell clean, pre-owned home furnishings, as well as vintage pieces and antiques.
As our collection grew, we saw an opportunity to take some of those antique and special pieces and give them a rebirth: launching our custom painting services. With an eye for what makes the perfect refinished piece and an extremely talented painter ready to go, the next phase of the MSE was born, and the owner & founder, Gary Greenstein, became an authorized Stockist and instructor of Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan, the original and best-selling Chalk Paint in the industry.
In addition to carrying the full line of Chalk Paint and accessories, we offer custom furniture painting using Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan and classes for the do-it-yourselfers.

The first and most common is a customer owns a piece of furniture, or sees one that they love, but the color doesn't fit their interior, or it's simply not the color he/she desires!
In this instance, we will help guide you through the selection of paint color and type of wax to make your piece the perfect fit for your home.
In addition, while we paint your piece, each one is reviewed and should it need any minor repairs, we will happily perform them.
Drawers and insides of cabinet spaces are also cleaned.

The Madison Stock Exchange is always accepting quality and fashionable items on consignment.
Furniture, lamps and art work are hand selected from cat and smoke free homes.
If we are interested in learning more about your items, we will contact you to schedule a time for you to drop off your item.
For items that are extremely large and/or heavy, we will make an in-house appointment* to review.
The consignment agreement is for 90 days and you receive 45% of the selling price.
At the end of 90 days, any unsold items can be picked up or re-consigned for an additional 30 days.
