How do you remain relevant when you are a 70 year old furniture company and there is a pandemic that is closing offices?

In the late 1940s schools were getting populated with the baby boom, so the owners decided to enter into the school business and starting carrying products from Griggs Equipment company who specialized in molded plywood and tubular steel case furniture.
BFI was founded in 1948 and has remained a majority family-owned business since its inception.
Currently, women own 57.5% of the total shares, which has allowed BFI to receive its WBE certification with WBENC, PANYNJ, State of NJ, and the City of New York with other WBE applications pending.
Lead by our President and CEO, Kate Kerpchar, and Sole Director, Francine Gold BFI has a diverse management team that oversees all the day-to-day operations as well as strategic initiatives.

Check orders before processing to ensure accuracy of information: Net discount, net cost, gross profit, sell discount and price, product finishes, keying information, freight, contracts, verify customer purchase order corresponds with the quote, ship to, installation location, payment terms, etc.
Troubleshoot with accounting in conjunction with vendor, sales, or design, as needed, to reconcile any vendor acknowledgment or invoice discrepancies: process change orders and follow-up.
