Southwind Pottery began as Mississippi Stone Pottery in Wiggins, Mississippi in 2004. Each piece of Stoneware is made lovingly from start to finish by one set of hands. The face pottery is accompanied by a tongue-n-cheek story written by the potter designed like the pottery itself, to tickle your funny bone. There are more than 50 different 'breeds' of the Wonderful World of Wiggins line of pottery which includes folks of all kinds, critters, and trees!
Southwind Pottery is stoneware made with food safe materials which are safe for the oven, microwave, and dishwasher, though hand washing is recommended for items with small details. From coffee cups to casseroles, Southwind offers a huge variety of practical pottery that is made to be more than just a dust collector. It's art you can actually use!
Custom pieces are available upon request. Bobbie Sue Fenton also offers custom painting in both oil and acrylic, and murals and hand painted furniture are available locally.
