Lehman's Chair Caning & Furniture Restoration, which is owned and operated by Ralph & Joanna Lehman, restores all styles of furniture along with wicker repair. We weave seats on all types of chairs and rockers using all of the old methods of seat weaving such as hand-caning, rush, splint, porch weave, pressed cane, and shaker tape. We like to match the original design and style of materials that were originally used.
Joanna, as a child, would go with her father, Paul Showalter, to antique sales where he would purchase old furniture and restore it. Joanna learned how to cane 30 years ago as a hobby. It has now grown into a full time business for Joanna & Ralph. We will restore any type of furniture that a customer may bring to our shop. We find great satisfaction in restoring a piece of furniture that is falling apart and bringing it back to life!
