The backstory: The owner's grandfather built this chest in the early 1940s for his toolbox. 40 years after he passed away, it was refinished and gifted to his grandson. In the 1990s, when the owner's new puppy was teething, it was chewed and damaged on every corner. It was not until 2020 that Surfaces Rx refinished the toolbox and transformed it into a treasure chest using a hybrid traditional and faux finishing technique.
