Oliver's Furniture Service was founded in 1964 by L.Phillip Oliver.
The company was originally known as Phil's Furniture and was a one-man show for many years.
In 1987, the company was incorporated as L.P. Oliver and Sons, Inc. and was officially named Oliver's Furniture Service.
In 1996, thirty-two years after starting the business, Phil decided to retire, knowing he was leaving the company in the very capable hands of his youngest son, Patrick.
