The Hardwood Furniture Guild, host of the Ohio Hardwood Furniture Market, is comprised of furniture manufacturers mostly in Northeast/Central Ohio. This group, the nation's largest concentration of hardwood furniture manufacturers and retailers work together to make it easier for customers from around the country to buy from them. They also share a deep concern for environmental awareness.
The region's manufacturers rely on alternative energy and have an extremely low carbon footprint. The furniture itself is very nearly formaldehyde-free and meets or exceeds the most stringent standards for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) and UV resistance. Central Ohio furniture makers have also made buying easier for retailers and consumers with a nearly exclusive use of standardized stain colors.
