The framework or "bones" is the foundation of each piece of furniture.
At Covers Unlimited, we use the finest, kiln dried, poplar hardwoods for our standard frames.
Custom hardwoods, such as oak, are available upon request and are part of the customization process.
All of our lumber is sourced from sustainable forrests.
We never compromise quality with press board or other inferior materials that will not withstand long term use.
We build heirloom quality pieces that can be loved for years and then reinvented with new fabric or finishes for future generations to enjoy.

All pieces of old material are removed.
Framework is repaired and/or rebuilt, sometimes with changes that make it stronger than the original.
All damaged and worn parts of the suspension are replaced or repaired.
Exposed wood areas are cleaned and touched up.
Modifications can be made to the frame and suspension to achieve the desired look and feel for each piece.
New cushioning, in a variety of materials and combinations, can be selected.
New material is cut, sewn, and applied with precision and care to match patterns and style of the piece.
All pieces of old material are removed.

Painted pieces will receive 3-4 coats of primer before the paint coating is applied to ensure a smooth and flawless finish.
Stained pieces are sealed with 3-4 coats of sealer and then shaded / toned to the desired color.
Wood can even be lightened or bleached to achieve a lighter color.
