Services
The James Vanderlin Company, owned by Jim and Pennie Vanderlin, is a combination of two branch companies: Vantiques Restorations and Nippon Panels (pronounced nip-on).
Known for their refinishing work and panel creations, The James Vanderlin Company has grown in success over the years and can complete every kind of woodworking available.
In 1982, the Vanderlins started Vantiques Furniture Restorations, bringing together Jim's hobby of refinishing furniture and his managerial experience.
Vantiques Restoration specializes in the restoration and preservation of heirloom furniture, collectables, and pianos.
Family Heirloom - It's wonderful to inherit a piece of your family's history in the form of a piece of furniture.
Often, however, that 100-year-old rocker or table has seen better days.
Whether your cherished heirloom needs to be repaired, glued, whole parts replaced, or stripped and refinished.
We can do it all.
We practice furniture conservancy so we will tell you if your old finish should remain to preserve the value of your antique.
Sentimental - Okay, so you inherited or bought a piece of furniture that isn't a "great" piece, but it means a lot to you because of a memory.
We acknowledge that the 1st and foremost use of a piano is to sound good.
We can refer you to quality technicians to make your piano sound the best it can.
Once the sound is taken care of, we will work with your sound technician to transfer your piano to the refinishing shop where we will restore it to its original flare, or help you select a finish that meets your taste and specifications.
The James Vanderlin Company has many years of experience restoring pianos.
As the premier piano restorer in the area, Jim has restored the Steinway piano bodies at the Robert M. Sides Family Music Center for over 25 years, and he brings pianos back-to-life.
Restoration is often times a better answer for businesses than purchasing new products.
Not only is restoration more cost-effective and a great method of preserving history, but it is also a green choice because it reduces refuse.
Nothing can replace the antique paneling or bookshelves in your office.
Your wooden items might just need to be restored with our multi-coat process to look good as new.
We can bring your conference table back to life.
Have you recently purchased a restaurant or inn?
We can restore your woodwork and tables to its original style so your children's generation can enjoy what a good old restaurant should look like.
As you sit in church, it is comforting to know that your great ancestors sat on the same pews as you.
Times may have changed, but the church has remained steadfast.
The price to replace church pews can be overwhelming, but refinishing can be a cost-effective and time-efficient process.
We can work on-site, or work with the church by taking a few pews at a time, so there's no mess, no seating-problems, and services can go on.
Each week, we switch a few pews with refinished ones in a process that is convenient for your church.
