Morton Fine Furniture
The distinction of our furniture from that of furniture commonly found in stores is created from the passion our craftsmen have for the fine art of furniture making. It is quality without compromise. It's an educated sensitivity to form, function, balance, beauty, and our personal need to make life more meaningful. More than a job it is a way of life.

That's how our customers describe the unique beauty and practical functionality of Thomas Morton furniture. Designed for generations of use, a piece of Thomas Morton furniture will become the source of many cherished memories throughout your family history. A special piece of the forest, designed just for you. Our furniture is primarily constructed from premium American hardwoods of Pennsylvania and New York - as well as our privately owned forest.

We are proud members of the American Tree Farmers Association. We believe in the sustainable planting, maintenance, and harvesting of trees with the conservation of soil, watersheds, and wildlife habitats.
Services
In the late 1980's, he, along with his wife/partner and best critic, Joanne, established Morton Fine Furniture Inc. "I left the family land surveying business to follow my dream, " he recalls.
His wife Joanne says, "I had a sense of his talent, and life is short."
His designs are clean and emphasize the simplicity and elegance he grew up with in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
My work is not so much just Frank Lloyd Wright.
It's more a little Gustav Stickley, Harvey Ellis, Greene & Greene, Roycroft, and today's Moser, Nakashima, Krenov, and Maloof - all wonderfully creative people.
Each piece of Morton Fine Furniture is built to order and customized for your needs.
We can start from an existing design from our fine furniture gallery or design something completely new and original.
The choice is yours!
We'll start by talking with you about the piece of furniture you're considering.
We invite you to visit our gallery in historic Lititz, PA to see the quality of our work and gather inspiration for your project.
We'll take the time to understand your needs and make suggestions to craft a unique piece just for you.
We handcraft each piece of furniture using traditional joinery methods, using contemporary tools.
Mortise-and-tenon joints, for example, are often hidden from view, yet provide strength and durability that endures.
Our East/West chair has 31 mortise-and-tenon joints with tenons locked in place with a wooden cross pin to ensure the joint won't fail.
Pinned-through mortise-and-tenon joints can also be visible, adding dimension to many of our pieces.
Many of our pieces utilize an interlocking dovetail joint.
We got our kitchen stools from Tom Morton's fine Furniture and they are fantastic.
Love them more and more each day.
Plus they are so well built that our kids and grandkids will love them as much as we do for generations.
Quality old-world craftsmanship with new-world sensibility - Thomas Morton pays attention to every detail.
His furniture is beautiful and functional.
Our family has been collecting Morton Fine Furniture for over twenty years.
We appreciate the timeless design of each piece and view them all as functional art.
