Manufacturing originally consisted of only bedroom furniture. However, in 1922 the company added dining room furniture and began to expand its offerings through a number of diverse styles.
In 1959, American of Martinsville added a new contract division. This department specialized in manufacture of multiple lines of case goods and seating for the growing hotel trade. Today the brand is totally committed to producing goods for the hospitality industry, with a particular emphasis on hotels, resorts, timeshares, and restaurants. From its humble beginnings, the Company now has manufacturing, administrative and distribution facilities exceeding 480,000 square feet.
