Commercial Business Furniture (CBF) was established in Salem in 1869 as Commercial Book Store and has been a fixture on Commercial St ever since. In 1952, Ray Gotchall joined the company as a commissioned salesperson and was with CBF for 61 years. Ray took over the company in 1992, moved to the current location at 1070 Commercial St NE, rebranded to Commercial Business Furniture and introduced his son, Steve to the business.

CBF is now a woman owned LLC and still a family run business. Katy Mizer, sole proprietor, and her husband, Dale, have over 30 years combined experience in office furniture, both sales, design, space planning, manufacturing and ergonomics. Their son, Sawyer is also a large part of the business providing sales assistance, ergonomic consulting, floor plans and service.

Along with a great team of sales and service professionals, awesome local manufactures and distributors, as well as distributors across the country, CBF strives to provide the best possible products and service to the Salem and surrounding areas.

Do you remove old furniture?
If we are installing new furniture or retrofitting existing product at your worksite, we would be happy to quote you for removing existing furniture.

If you have a specific item in mind, give us a call.
We do sell off demo chairs several times a year to make room for new fabrics, styles, etc., and on occasion will also have desks, bookcases or file cabinets.
