La Place USA Furniture was founded in 1998 by Maria and Hendrik Engel.
Both from Europe, they decided to mesh their backgrounds.
Maria, from rural Netherlands, and Hendrik, from Amsterdam, worked together to combine chic farmhouse and slick modern tastes to create our timeless pieces.
They pursued the American dream and left everything behind for small town: Fairhope, Alabama.
In the beginning, they started with tent sales and later proceeded to open a store in Fairhope and Destin.
Maria and Hendrik began traveling yearly to Indonesia in order to find the best products for their customers.
Both from Europe, they decided to mesh their backgrounds.

The freight carrier will contact you, typically 24 hours in advance, to schedule the delivery appointment.
Someone will need to be on hand to meet the driver, inspect the shipment and sign for the package.
We are able to hold orders for up to 30 days for shipping.
Orders ship out quickly so if you require extra time before receiving your purchase, please let us know before placing the order or at the time of purchase.

Because of this naturally high oil content, it is both stable and resistant to rotting when exposed, over many years, to the extremes of both summer and winter weather.
