I've been building custom furniture and cabinetry since 1980. I began my career as an assistant instructor at the Dartmouth Student Workshops under the tutelage of renowned furnituremaker Walker Weed. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Studio Art, I continued to develop my craft building heirloom-quality furniture and custom cabinetry, now with the added bonus of living and working on the banks of the beautiful Connecticut River with my wife and daughter.

I just want to thank you again - the painted bookcases in the dining room are absolutely gorgeous! And your gorgeous cherry wood bookcase looks fabulous in the living room! I recently completed building my dream shop in the hay field behind our home. After many years of working in drafty old factories I finally have a work space that I designed and built from the ground up, sited for maximum solar gain with plenty of windows to enjoy beautiful views of the Connecticut River Valley.

The shop is heavily insulated and built with zero VOC materials, making it a healthy and enjoyable space in which to work.
Services
The bookshelves are crafted to bring out the natural beauty of each piece of wood and provide a warm backdrop for your favorite books, family photos, and objects d'art.
The cabinet doors feature book matched boards whose grain and color are each carefully considered in relationship to the adjoining boards and the overall design.
The simple elegance of hand carved dovetails further highlight the design to create a one-of-a-kind piece of functional beauty.
Built-in storage cabinet for family room.
I typically work directly with homeowners or architects to design and create a custom piece of furniture or built-in cabinetry.
The design process varies in that some clients know exactly what they want and provide a detailed drawing, while others are more vague with a concept and leave the creative end up to me.
After fully discussing a project, a free estimate is provided.
With agreement on pricing, I ask for a deposit to put the client in queue.
At that time a detailed drawing is done for the customer's approval.
I have now seen the sideboard in daylight, evening light, and morning light, and it is spectacular in all.
Thanks for making such a beautiful piece of furniture for our house.

So, I am finally getting to bed after standing around staring at those amazing doors!
They are so incredibly beautiful, and just what I was hoping would finish off this big renovation.
