I was born in Miskolc, Hungary in 1986 and my family and I moved to California in 1996. When I was little, I always enjoyed being creative with Legos and building blocks. My parents thought I had a real knack for building, so they kept buying me more and more, until I had two huge buckets filled. I could play with them for hours, which made them happy since I was quiet for most of the day, ha ha.

When I was 10 years old, I started taking an interest in my dad's tools, and since he was a contractor, he had a lot of them. Sure enough, when I reached high school and wood shop class became available, I was the first one to sign up. That is where the love for woodworking started. Later down the road in 2001 we moved to Las Vegas where I started working with my dad in the summers.

We remodeled houses therefore I had to learn it all - from electrical, plumbing, framing, tiling to pretty much everything. However, my favorite was when we had to build and install kitchen cabinets. After I graduated high school, I joined the carpenters union where I learned more woodworking skills.

The inside of wine barrels can come in many different colors.
Anywhere from red to a deep dark purple and even a light brown, which means the barrel was a chardonnay barrel.
The outside will usually be a clean golden brown with a few markings from the barrel bands.
When we build our wine barrel furniture we usually try to keep a uniform color pattern when possible.
For an order with 3-4 pieces we will usually pick through to find similar type of barrel staves.
Any larger wine barrel furniture orders will most likely include a couple of pieces that will slightly vary from one another.
You will need to re-oil when you start noticing that liquids stop beading up on the surface.
Once moisture is able to get absorbed, it means it's time for a fresh new coat.
Before re-wiping, it is also recommended to go through with a light sand paper to clean off any residue that might have built up on the surface over the season.
If you keep your furniture indoors you will rarely need to re-oil.
Once or twice a year with some mineral oil or beeswax will keep the wood protected.
The best place to keep the furniture is a covered area like a patio.
NOTE: These are mainly helpful tips that we have learned to work well.
Please understand reclaimed material can react differently in other environments and we can not guarantees the outcome and longevity.
Results will vary.
As you may know Wine and Whiskey Barrels are made from French, American and Hungarian White Oak.
The material is very durable and rot resistant, hence why they are used by wineries and distilleries for the past century.
However sticking the furniture outdoors and just for getting about them just simply won't do.
Really cool clock.
The package was a little banged up, my husband was able to straighten out the clock mechanism.
Very nice quality, even smells like whiskey!
The first clock mechanism didn't work properly and they promptly replaced it for free by mail.
Great customer service and cool product!
Clock is awesome and completes the new bar we built.
Only criticism is the hands of the clock are too narrow and are difficult to see on the dark background.
Seems if they were wider it would be seen better!
