West Barnet Woodworks began in 2006 when after 15 years at my previous job, I needed a change of scenery. I decided to focus on designing and building my own creations, in collaboration with my customers. Since I started West Barnet Woodworks, I have built many custom beds, chairs, tables and cabinets. I have worked with others to create fabulous custom staircases and doors.
I have used my talents as a sculptor to embellish many of my pieces with intricate carvings. West Barnet Woodworks is a one-man shop. Everything that comes out of my door was built by me, and I guarantee that you will be thrilled with anything I create for you.

Services
I built these 2 end tables out of a broken cookie from a 195 year old (If your eyes are better than mine, feel free to count the rings yourself: I won't argue with you) tap hole Sugar Maple that was cut down in Peacham, Vermont about 10 years ago.
I guess that means it sprouted about 1813.
Next up is a pair of White Cedar buckets that are supposed to hold water.
One for our sauna, one for the blacksmith shop at Ben's Mill.

Working with Mike is a treat.
Not only is he a really nice guy to work with, but you get a master craftsman with a great eye for detail.
Mike's work belongs in museums and anyone who finds him in the NE Kingdom is lucky.
One particular project I got to work with him on was the design of an insulated wood door that Mike helped synthesize into a great piece that ended up in a Finehomebuilding article.
You should definitely find an excuse to have Mike Lamp build you something.
Mike creates beautiful, warm, and functional furniture.
