As you review photographs and drawings, you will see our Traditional Shaker, Canterbury Shaker, Harvest Moon, Gamble, and Horizon styles presented with an honest and delicate design. It is the way furniture used to be made. We show our work through selected showrooms and furniture stores primarily on the east and west coasts of the US as well as through online retailers.
We also work directly with individuals not serviced by a local showroom. The Green Mountain state of Vermont is home to a long and skilled tradition of woodworking and furniture making of the highest standards. We believe in harvesting wood in a responsible manner to preserve forests for future generations. Whenever possible we buy wood and support organizations with this goal in mind.

This video done by Vermont Woods Studios summarizes our philosophy and techniques that go into making our furniture.
Maple Corner Woodworks began in 1982 in a modest shop in Vermont with the highest standards for quality, consistency and design.
Over the years as our business and reputation have grown, our craftsmen have kept and improved upon our original vision.
We are a team of dedicated furniture makers, taking pleasure and satisfaction in every piece that leaves our shop doors.
We manufacture some of the finest cherry, maple and walnut furniture available anywhere.

Gamble style is another collaboration anchored primarily with the massive modern wedge shaped bed.
Head and footboards have nearly 2" thick panels of meticulously matched grain and color patterns with "wedge-like" wings flowing in opposite directions.
This bed nestles well with any of our design lines.
Chests, dressers, and other casegoods have an 8 degree beveled top with reverse tapered corner posts.
Eased edge profile and our signatured designed horizon pull in walnut unless otherwised specified.

Harvest Moon combines Asian and modern elements that give both a light and grounded appearance.
Our signature half moon inset-pull balances both the reverse tapered corner posts and the large under top cove cut.
Corner posts feature full thickness round-overs that bookend a central arch.
The walnut pulls contrast handsomely with cherry, but you may combine maple and walnut with any features.
As with the Shaker line we feel the Harvest Moon style provides an integration of aesthetics and function.

Horizon style was born out of a custom project with one of our showroom designers some years ago, a collaboration that updated the modern 20th century design that, as with many good designs, has returned to new popularity.
Relying on Danish modern elements, the casegoods and beds have modern accents with minimal overhangs.

We began our shop 32 years ago with our Traditional Shaker style and it is still popular today.
It incorporates the finer elements of the mid to later 1800's period of furniture design.
Our lines are clean and simple.
Components are well proportioned for a delicate yet sturdy appearance.
We use four-sided tapered corner posts, chamfered edges, cove moldings and the traditional round button shaker knob.
The resulting design has lasted the ages and continues to be extremely popular.
