Luke Addington is a furniture & wooden artifacts conservator, period furniture maker, and marqueteur. He specializes in the conservation, restoration, and recreation of pre-Industrial American & European furniture, decorated marquetry surfaces, and historic finishes. Addington trained under furniture conservators and master ebenistes William Patrick Edwards & Patrice Lejeune at the American School of French Marquetry.

He continues advanced studies in conservation and chemistry at the University of Arizona under Dr. Nancy Odegaard, Head of the Preservation Division, Arizona State Museum. He is a contract conservator for the National Park Service Western Archaeological and Conservation Center and Mission San Xavier del Bac.

Addington's work includes examination and materials characterization of objects of art and archaeology, instrumental and chemical analysis, novel treatment methodologies, and collaborations related to the fields of conservation and period furniture making.He holds certifications in Boulle marquetry, painting in wood, and the classic method.
